Congressional lawmakers just released bill text for the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) after negotiating the package over the past week. Unfortunately, the Trigger Leads language, which we worked tirelessly to have included in this must-pass legislation, was removed from the final package.
While we were not successful in our quest to pass this critical legislation during the 118th Congress, it is NAMB's intention to immediately begin the work necessary to have it reintroduced as soon as the 119th Congress begins its first session in January. NAMB believes this issue is essential to protecting consumers, and we will work with any stakeholders who are aligned in our effort to prioritize the protection of consumers.
